Colors Kissed by the Sun
What does batik really mean? Batik is a method that has been used for over 2,000 years. It is a beautiful art and a craft that is still practiced still to this day. There are a few different types of batik techniques. We use about 3 different types, depending on the product. When you buy something batik, you have the reassurance that it is truly handmade. Most tropical, sunny islands still practice this form of sun dying. So let’s talk a little about the process. The fabric is hand dyed and laid out to set in the sun! To create a more than one color look, wax is then brushed on selected areas to resist the colored dye. A true and unique method that provides you with one-of-a-kind clothing. Made with nature’s help and made with LOVE by our extended Bali family.
